Rising Sun

Rising Sun is deeply inspired by the grandeur of Uzbekistan, its magnificent architecture, the intricate mosaics, enamel details, gold accents, and its vibrant cross-cultural influences of the ‘Silk Route’. This collection explore Suzani textiles from Uzbekistan, featuring embroideries in oversized motifs, through Benaras ‘Katruan’, rendered in traditional Indian embroidefries like, ‘Aari’ and ‘Zardosi’, Mirror work and Applique. A canvas of prints and weaves are patched and hand-quilted and embellished with handmade tassels, coins and metallic beads.
